When visiting our scenic holiday accommodation this winter season, why not treat yourself and loved ones to a delicious meal from our Christmas menu? Based in the Yorkshire Countryside, Racehorses Hotel welcome guests from far and wide to sample our traditional offerings. Is the Christmas season even complete without all of the seasonal trimmings or a delectable pudding? We don’t think so!

Prawn and Smoked Salmon Parcel

North Atlantic prawns coated in a rich Marie Rose sauce, wrapped in smoked salmon, with a dill vinaigrette lemon/lime wedge, and supreme fruits confect bread.

‘MacSween’ Haggis and Black Pudding

Served on a warm salad with an orange and whisky dressing.

Spicy Parsnip Soup

Served with garlic croutons.

Game Terrine

With a bistro leaf salad garnish, warm petit pain ardennais and tangy Cumberland sauce.

Creamed Garlic Mushrooms

Served on garlic toast, with a bistro leaf salad garnish.

Traditional Roast Corn Fed Turkey

Served with Christmas vegetables and seasonal trimmings.

Roast Angus Sirloin of Aged Beef

Mixed beans, Tomato, and Apple Casserole

Served with sage and onion rice, and Christmas vegetables.

Game Casserole St Emilio

Grouse, pheasant, pigeon, venison, and partridge served the traditional way with croutons, creamed potato, and Christmas vegetables.


Rich Christmas Pudding

Served with rum sauce or luxury clotted cream.

Local Wensleydale Cheese and Luxury Fruitcake

Two Wensleydale cheeses, served with artisan gourmet toasts celery, grapes, Christmas spiced chutney, and fruitcake.

Traditional Sherry Trifle

Served with luxury clotted cream.
